These graphic organizers follow the response process: explore, connect with the text, and go beyond (generalize).
Analysis worksheets are also included; however, these are optional if your ESL learners do not have the required proficiency level to complete the tasks.
 
⭐The graphic organizers focus on the following skills/strategies:
Before reading activities (predicting, information about the novel, genre)
Information about the author (Author’s biography card)
Discussion questions (Students are required to record the questions they wish to discuss with their peers. – Use these when students are reading a whole-class novel or when several students are reading the same novel.)
Note-taking worksheets while reading (Two is provided, but print as many copies as your students need.)

Conflict situation and themes
Connect with the text worksheets
